It's all coming together now!

I drove over to our house yesterday and was excited to see the front door was being painted! Not only because the color came out better than I had anticipated, but because it meant I could get in the house!

A lot has been done on the inside, the outlet on the mantel was replaced, the cabinet with a scratch was replaced, the hardwood flooring was re-done so it now connects and goes all the way from the front entry through the powder room, hallway, breakfast room, kitchen, and mudroom with no breaks. The toilets were put in, along with all the faucets in the bathrooms, and all the doors now have hardware.

I am so glad the hardwood flooring was fixed, because it really makes the space look a thousand time larger and it just looks so much better. I actually feel like the rooms looks more spacious once flooring goes in, so it should be interesting when the carpeting arrives.

Everything looks fabulous except for the finishes on all the doornobs. We selected antique bronze for all the rooms except for the bathrooms - where we selected brushed nickel. All of the doornobs are currently brushed nickel. This is actually something that seems odd to me, since they took off the old doornob that was antique broze, and apparently didn't think anything weird as they replaced it with a brushed nickel one. Whatever, it just needs to be corrected, i'm not going to get worked up over it.
