#33, an update, and the neighbors castle

Now that our interest rate is officially locked in I am getting excited about the actual move. It will be so nice to not have to 'pack' anything since all our belongings are already boxed away in our storage unit. All we'll have to do is pick our stuff up from the storage unit and drive it to our new place!

I am visioning myself  putting the baby in her jumperoo in the family room while I put stuff away in the kitchen and wash all the towels and linens in the laundry room - it will be glorious! Both Scott and I took the entire week after we get the keys off of work, but I am seriously considering taking the following Monday off as well, since I haven't taken any days off since I went back to work in February.

#33 belongs to something i've sincerely missed since being in my apartment - a sliding glass door.

When I lived in my apartment I was on the third floor and had a gigantic sliding glass door. I loved having the door open, especially in the evening when all the cool summer and crisp fall air would flow in. In my single days, I looked forward to my Monday nights when i'd get home from work and make myself dinner, shower, pour myself a glass of wine, open the door, and watch the Bachelor. It sounds completely ridiculous that i'd be excited about a sliding glass door - but it is a really nice thing to have.

In other news, yesterday I went in our neighbors house that just got framed and it is gigantic! It seriously makes my house look dinky, as it is nearly 3500 square feet! The main floor is mostly the same concept as ours, in terms of how the kitchen goes into the breakfast room goes into the family room - but that is just about the only thing that is similar. Their house has a split staircase, a vaulted family room ceiling, and it looks as if they are going to have the optional 'bonus' room upstairs as well, although I can't tell for sure yet.
Sometimes I wonder, "what would you even do with a house that large?" Then I think "oh, I know what i'd do!" lol
