#42 - The Mailbox, and a worthless update

I warn you this will be a boring post. #42 on the countdown goes to the mailbox numbered 734 Nola Drive. I do realize that most people would not even fathom putting their mailbox on a countdown of things they are excited about, but it absolutely delights me!
At our previous home, we had a mailbox that was attached to the front of our house. Everytime it rained or snowed the mail would also get wet or snowy. Prior to our house we had apartments, where you shared a "wall-o-mailboxes" with everyone and their mothers, and had to carry around a key just to access your mail. It was even worse when you'd open the darn thing up and all it was was junk. Nothing about our experiences with mailboxes was pleasant, and that is why I am so excited for a real mailbox.

On the update front, there is nothing to report. I was very underwhelmed yesterday when we visited the house. Absolutely nothing further had been done - the cabinets, molding, and doors were all still sitting in the garage. I'm not concerned in the least about the house not being ready by August 3rd - they've committed to that date, but it still would have been nice to see some progress.

Tonight is going to be a little hectic, so i'm not sure if we'll be popping over for a check-up. Scott has some sort of softball tryout for corporate challenge day, and I have swim lessons with my little lady. It will be a nice evening for certain (if the rain stops), but if time permits I will definitely be taking a drive over!
