Sharing things, and other frustrations

Just when things started improving on the home-front, reality set back in. I went home last night with full intentions of doing laundry after swim practice. That didn't happen. See, when you live with other people you have to share - and that includes time with the washer and dryer.
I typically squeeze our laundry in between when all the rest of the folks use it, but lately it seems they use it every hour of every day. Even when they aren't using it, they tend to leave undies and white's in the machines and I don't exactly feel comfortable moving those types of things around.
So I decided not to get too worked up about it, and thought i'd do laundry today when I get home this afternoon - guess what?! They're doing more laundry today!!! I actually think it was easier doing laundry at my apartment, even though I had to share with multiple families. I can't wait to have my own washer and dryer again, this sharing business is unreal.

Furthering my frustrations last night, my husbands mother decided she would create a very awkward scene. When asking what we were doing the following night (tonight), we responded "going to the Indians game." Which led to her saying that she would watch the baby. We like taking the baby to games though, as it's family friendly and she enjoys being out and about, so we politely declined but made sure to say 'thanks anyway.' A mere two minutes later she said "you really should leave her here - we'll be home and I can watch her." Finally I was left saying "we want to take her, really, but thanks anyway." I mean, do I have to spell it out? I think she was mad, because when I was trying to put the baby to bed about 15 minutes later she made sure to be very loud while walking around in the kitchen.
If I said no thanks the first time, it's not going to change when you ask me a second time! Ugh...how many more days?!
