As we do most evenings after work, we drove by the house. I was trying my best not to get too excited or hopeful of the progress, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw all the siding was up and about 95% of the electrical is complete! Woop woop!
So today I am thinking that the brick and shutters will be done, the electrical will be finished, and then the insulation will get shoved in. It is a great feeling to know that our pre-drywall meeting is tomorrow, because I don't know how much longer I can feel good about seeing a house with no walls.
I would be lying if I said that I think the builders are always paying attention and trying to make progress on our house. There have been stretches of two to three days at a time where we go by and nothing has been done. Our neighbor, Linda, is very honest about the process - and has even said herself that they are not always the most efficient when it comes to time. I knew that that was one of the downfalls of going custom, but (long term) I'd rather have the quality than for the process to be rushed.
Okay, now that I got that out of my system, time to get some work done!
