Old house and daydreams

This morning Scott went to our old house to meet up with a handyman. Since the people who bought our house went FHA, we had to comply with certain rules and one of them was that we had to fix the garage for the buyers. We weren't too happy about having to do it, just because we had already lost close to $25,000 on the sale (that includes the real estate commissions), but we knew we'd have to do it for any buyer, so we eventually agreed.
The process required we put $1200 in an escrow account, and with that we'd have the garage treated (it's wooden), and then replace the front boards. The new owner would then be responsible for painting it.
Anyway, we haven't a clue as to how to replace boards, let alone the time, so we finally hired a handyman. I wish we would have done this sooner - he is charging $50 for labor. Yes, $50. I'll give him $100! I cannot believe we've waited this long, but it makes me feel like we should just hire a handyman for everything.
Needless to say anything else, we *should* be getting the majority of the escrow money back - and it will be more than enough to cover a super nice grill and lawnmower for our new place! WooHoo!
Speaking of our new place, I can't stop daydreaming about it. I am so excited to be there, painting the back wall a warm pumpkin color, placing my furniture just right, decorating it like it's a model home - with all my fabulous Fisher Price decor' ;) LOL!
Now back to dreaming about all the parties and cookout's to come! Can't. Wait!
